Star Lake Fishing Resort, a perfect "Wilderness Getaway", near Clearwater, British Columbia, Canada. Cozy cabins, private campsites, and some great fly fishing for Kamloops Rainbow Trout. Star Lake is approximately one mile long by half mile wide. This lake has many bays and three islands. There are some rock outcroppings in the lake that produce some nice shoals for fly fishing. Star Lake is productive no matter how you fish it. You can troll, fly fish, or spin cast it. It was a stocked lake with only Kamloops Rainbow Trout but now the fish are reproducing on their own. They are full of fight and great fun to catch. The fish range in size from pan fry to over 2 pounds. And I am sure there are bigger ones lurking in the deeper depths. Fishing is not the only activity we offer at Star Lake. Hiking, exploring, bird watching, or just relaxing with a good book from our library, and enjoying nature at its best, are all a part of the Star Lake experience.

We have been working on a new stocking plan with the lake for three years now, and I can really see the difference now. The fish size is improving, (two pounders aren't uncommon anymore), the fish are a lot brighter, and the fight of the fish is improving.

Also our resident beavers now have a family, we are not sure if there is one baby or two.. The Loon family has 2 new babies as well as the Osprey family. A cow moose has been spotted a few times this year in one of the bays on the lake. On your drive up to Star Lake you may also see bear and deer.

Star Lake Resort is under new management as of September 1, 2007. Come and stay with us and meet Jerry and Joan Coulas, the new owners.
