"If people concentrated on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles." -Doug Larson

Star Lake Fishing Resort is a perfect "Wilderness Getaway", near Clearwater, British Columbia, Canada with cozy cabins, picturesque campsites, and great fishing for Kamloops Rainbow Trout. Star Lake is approximately one mile long by half mile wide. This lake has many bays and three islands. There are some rock outcroppings in the lake that produce some nice shoals for fly fishing. Star Lake is productive no matter how you fish it. You can troll, fly fish, or spin cast. The lake was stocked with Kamloops Rainbow Trout but now the fish are reproducing on their own. They are full of fight and great fun to catch. The fish range in size from "fry pan size" to over 2 pounds. And we are sure there are bigger ones lurking in the deeper depths. Fishing is not the only activity we offer at Star Lake. Hiking, exploring, bird watching, or just relaxing with a good book from our library, and enjoying nature at its best, are all part of the Star Lake experience.

The osprey, heron and loons have returned and we've been visited by migrating ducks and Canada Geese. Lupine, Indian Paintbrush and Saskatoon Berry are all in bloom bringing some colour to the forest.

WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS - Watch for bears and deer on the drive up. There's a mother bear with triplet cubs hanging out between Km 3 & 7.
